Making of "Bouncing cow"
Whenever I show a rendering, someone asks within 10 seconds: "Is this done with Unreal?" Well, I´m not a Unreal pro. But some of the very convenient tools can be found in Cinema 4D as well. Plus all the tools for modelling all kinds of objects and plants.

The trampolin is modelled in a rather simple way, making use of the clone object in order to scatter the springs around the trampolin shape. Of course I could have mounted the trampolin into the photograph of a landscape, but in general the scene looks more natural and convincing when both, landscape and object, are part of the same scene that can be lit and rendered together.

Whenever building a landscape scene you run into a simple problem: Showing a field or a mountain that spreads miles and miles into the landscape, the scene would have to be huge. So I have to use some sort of dynamic scale, which simply means, that objects in the far distance (e,g, the mountains) have to be a lot smaller and closer then you would expect using a static scale.

The trampolin itself has a length of 20m (roundabout 65ft), the whole scene is approximately 125m long.
One of the most fascinating tools is the so called "Streuungsstift" (scattering pen). It paints whatever you want to see on an object. In this case I used 10 different gras types and 5 different types of clover. The plants can be painted in real time. The little scene you see here has 4,7 MB and about 58.000 polygons. That means, you can paint a LOT of these plants without your computer slowing down.

A cow, that bounces on a trampolin is a really rare sight. So I decided to create in in midjourney and mounted, together with the two fellow cows into the rendering. The shadow and the sunlight in the left upper corner are painted in Photoshop.
